Conservation Efforts:
At the minute the Swainson's hawk is doing okay as a species. Conservation efforts were taken by taking baby birds and letting them thrive in captivity and let them repopulate until there was enough of them to release. There wasn't one major company or organization that tried to make the Swainson's hawk come back off the Endangered species list. It was small little organizations that took their time to rehabilitate them.

Endangered Reasons:
The reason the Swainson's Hawk went on the Endangered Species list was because the hawks migrate in the winter and they go through towns and cities. Some of them stop there and start a nest and live there. They find a high spot like a telephone wire (which is most common) and they try to hunt for food and get killed by cars, other predators and electrocution. This happened so much that that's why they almost went extinct!
